Aggie Networking Night: An Evening of Insights and Opportunities with Wayne-Sanderson Farms
The Texas A&M Department of Poultry Science was proud to partner once again with Wayne-Sanderson Farms for a networking event designed to connect students with leaders in one of the nation’s top poultry companies.

The Aggie Networking Night began with an engaging Q&A panel, where company representatives offered candid advice on launching a career in the poultry industry. Students heard first-hand insights into Wayne-Sanderson’s company culture, strategies for standing out in the job market, and practical guidance on navigating professional opportunities in agriculture.
Following the panel, students transitioned into a networking hour, where they connected one-on-one with 13 Wayne-Sanderson representatives from a variety of departments. These conversations provided a closer look at the diverse career paths available within the company and highlighted internship opportunities that help prepare students for long-term success in the industry.

“Our department has a tight-knit relationship with Wayne-Sanderson Farms, and we are always so grateful for their generosity when investing their time and expertise in our students,” says Lesley Gleason, Program Manager.
Their continued partnership plays a vital role in strengthening the pipeline between Texas A&M and the poultry industry, ensuring that Aggie Poultry Science graduates remain among the most competitive professionals entering the workforce.
