Get ready for an egg-citing summer! The Department of Poultry Science is offering multiple action-packed poultry judging camp sessions, tailored to different experience levels and groups. Each session is filled with hands-on learning, giving participants the skills, knowledge, and confidence to dominate 4-H and FFA poultry judging contests. Don’t miss this chance to level up your expertise and have a blast while doing it!

Each camp will immerse participants in the different classes of a poultry judging contest, building their skills step by step with guidance from the nationally ranked Texas A&M Collegiate Poultry Judging Team. Once participants have mastered their newly gained skills, they’ll compete in a contest for top honors, high-quality awards, and championship banners!

Event Details

All camps will be hosted at the Louis Pearce Pavilion at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
Please be sure to select the appropriate session based on age. 

Registration will open April 1, 2026, and closes June 1, 2026.

NOTE: Please complete one form for each camp attendee. Families with multiple campers will need to submit a separate form for each camper.

NOTE: If for some reason you need to cancel your participation, please email Brylee Williams a week before your selected camp start date, you will only be eligible for a 50% refund. Any cancellations made on or after the start date will not receive a refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t have any judging or poultry experience?

That’s okay! This camp is designed with all experience levels in mind, whether you’re just getting started or already have some background. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, try new experiences, and step outside your comfort zone in a supportive environment. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, develop valuable skills, and create memories that will stick with you long after camp is over.

All campers will receive a handbook with judging information that they can take home.

What kinds of activities will we do?

Great question! This year’s camp will be held at the Louis Pearce Pavilion, located at 555 George Bush Dr. W, College Station, TX. Campers will be divided into large groups and rotate through various judging stations. During the day, there will be scheduled breaks that include non-judging related activities, such as egg toss, basketball, s’mores, water balloon fights, and more!

Can I request a roommate?

Yes, you may request a roommate. If you’re attending with a team or have a friend you’d like to room with, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. While we try to honor all preferences, roommate requests cannot be guaranteed. Please note that individual rooms are not available, and all campers will be assigned shared accommodations.

What should I pack?

Camp takes place at the end of July, so plan for that infamous Texas heat and humidity. However, indoor facilities can be cool, and there is always a chance of rain. We recommend a light jacket or a waterproof layer to stay comfortable no matter what weather comes our way! There will be a lot of physical activities inside and outdoors. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Please ensure that all clothes are deemed appropriate.

What will the sleeping arrangements be like?

Session 2 campers will be sharing a room with 3-4 other campers at a hotel in College Station near campus. Camp staff will also stay on-site and be available in the event of an emergency.

Will food be provided?

Yes, all meals, snacks, and beverages will be provided during camp. Be sure to indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions during registration so we can accommodate your needs. You are welcome to bring your own snacks for the room or during the day.

Third-party deliveries made by parents or campers is strictly prohibited.

Can parents attend the camp?

To provide the best experience for campers, we ask that parents not attend camp activities unless there is a specific session intended for parents. Parents are welcome during check-in and check-out.

We will be posting photos and videos throughout the camps on our social media pages, so you can stay in the loop of all the activities throughout the day!

Can one form be used for multiple campers in the same family?

No! Families registering more than one camper will need to complete a separate form for each attendee. Safety is our number 1 priority, and individual forms help ensure we have the correct contact information, emergency details, and required permissions for every camper.

How will campers be transported between locations?

Campers will be transported via bus and/or Texas A&M vehicles. Only licensed and insured drivers will be allowed to operate the vehicles.
