2027 Market Poultry Workshop
Ready, Set, Learn!
Join us in August 2027, for the Market Poultry Workshop, an educational event designed for families, county Extension agents, ag teachers, and youth poultry project supporters who want to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in market poultry production. This event is hosted and organized by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Poultry Science Unit.
From getting started with chicks and poults to preparing for show day, this workshop will walk participants through key stages of a successful market poultry project. Attendees will hear from an experienced panel of speakers, participate in interactive learning opportunities, and leave with tools they can use to support poultry exhibitors with confidence.
Whether you are new to market poultry projects or looking to sharpen your knowledge, this workshop is a great opportunity to learn directly from poultry experts and connect with others involved in youth poultry programs.

- Individual Registration: $60
- Family Registration: One individual registers at the base rate ($60), and each additional family member may be added for $10.
- Ag Science Teacher/AgriLife Extension Agents: $35
- On-site/Late Registration: $100/person or family

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Cancellations received no later than Monday, July 27, 2026, will be issued a refund minus a 25% non-refundable administrative fee.
If a cancellation or refund becomes necessary, please submit a Cancellation or Refund Request. Refunds typically take 7–10 business days to process.
I went to MPW last year. What is the benefit of coming again?
Great question! Even if you attended last year, there is still plenty to gain from coming back. This year’s Market Poultry Workshop will be held in Kleberg and will feature a brand-new structure with new activities and learning opportunities.
Each year, presentations are updated to reflect the most current information, so returning attendees can continue building their knowledge and stay up to date. Plus, our vendors may change from year to year, giving you a chance to connect with new poultry professionals, ask questions and discover additional resources to support your market poultry projects.
Are there any age restrictions?
No, all ages are welcome.
Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend bringing something to take notes on. Refreshments will be available during the event, but please feel free to bring your own.

Will food be provided?
Yes, lunch will be provided as well as snacks and other refreshments, which will be available during the day. Please be sure to list any dietary restrictions during the registration process.
You are welcome to bring your own snacks if you would like.
Do parents have to be present?
A parent or guardian must accompany all minors for the duration of the event.
