What is the Poultry Science Club?
The Poultry Science Club is an organization that focuses on anything related to Poultry Science. Our goal is to establish and maintain relationships with our club members and members of the Poultry Industry. The Club is active in a variety of service and social activities and has won the national Poultry Science Club of the Year Award from the US Poultry and Egg Association. The club participates in many service projects such as canned food drives, The Big Event, and Adopt-a-Highway. They also host annual social events including football tailgates, a Halloween party, a Christmas social, and a spring crawfish boil. Our club also co-hosts an annual banquet held each spring to celebrate the success of our club members and students in the Department of Poultry Science. The club is also very active in many poultry industry events such as Broiler Symposium, and Poultry Science Weekend, and assists with many FFA Poultry Judging Contests held at our Poultry Research Center on campus. The club is also very involved in the wingbandings for all major and local poultry shows! Our members help us wingband thousands of birds for the youth across the State of Texas!
Who can be in the Poultry Science Club?
