Poultry Science was well represented at the Texas A&M Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society Initiation and Awards Reception this Spring with 5 current students and 1 faculty member in attendance.

Gamma Sigma Delta is an agriculture honor society dedicated to recognizing academic achievements and/or accomplishments as a student, faculty member, alumnus, or industry and university supporter.

  • Dr. Jill Domel, Instructional Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Distant Education, received the Outstanding Teaching Award.
  • Kirby Richardson, Poultry Science Undergraduate student, received Outstanding Junior Student.
  • Mary Ennis, Poultry Science Master's of Agriculture student, received Outstanding Master's Student.
  • Allison Milby, Poultry Science Ph.D. student, was initiated into GSD and received Outstanding Doctoral Student.
  • Lindsey Wythe and Melinda Bivens, both Poultry Science Ph.D. students, were also initiated.
