The annual Poultry Science Steak Fry has become the highlight of the Department's social calendar, eagerly awaited by students, alumni, faculty, staff, family, friends, and our industry allies. Consisting of a cornhole tournament, steak dinner, and both a silent and live auction, this year's event hosted nearly 300 people and was held on October 12th at the Thomas G. Hildebrand '56 Equine Complex in College Station, TX.

This year's Steak Fry raised over $14,000, which directly benefits the Texas A&M Poultry Science Club and Aggie Poultry Ambassadors (APA), the department's undergraduate student organizations. These student groups help undergraduates develop strong relationships with peers and members of the poultry industry. They participate in service projects, industry events, and socials every year. Members also participate in wingbanding thousands of birds for all major and local poultry shows across the state of Texas. At this year's International Processing and Production Expo (IPPE), the Poultry Science Club was recognized as the 2nd Place Club of the Year, which is a nationally recognized award.

Gratitude for Our Generous Sponsors
The Department of Poultry Science extends heartfelt thanks to this year's sponsors for their unwavering support. A special appreciation goes to JBS/Pilgrim's for their generous sponsorship of the steak dinner.
