Annual Poultry Science Banquet awards over $170,000 in scholarships to current and incoming students

Nearly 300 guests were in attendance at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center on April 5 to celebrate the accolades of poultry science students.
The Annual Poultry Science Banquet serves as a celebration of excellence within the department, honoring student achievements from the past year, recognizing industry partners for their invaluable support, and awarding scholarships to help empower the next generation of leaders in poultry science.
A total of 130 scholarships amounting to $174,500 were awarded to current and incoming students, ranging in value from $500 to $5,000. This is the largest quantity of scholarships presented to poultry science students in program history.
The inaugural Roy Fanguy Memorial and John H. Quisenberry, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarships, funded by Paul Ruszler '70, were presented to an incoming freshman poultry science student.
