The Department of Poultry Science prides itself on preparing students to meet the demands of a growing and dynamic global food system. Through rigorous academic coursework paired with real-world learning opportunities, students have established a strong foundation in poultry health, nutrition, genetics, production systems, food safety, and more. Whether through lab-based research or industry internships, these experiences provide critical context to classroom concepts and help shape well-rounded professionals.

Mason Jones, a Master of Agriculture graduate, said "I gained a more comprehensive view of the challenges and innovations within the industry that will allow me to make more informed decisions and support sustainable practices throughout my career."

Poultry Science graduates from this class are entering a range of professional fields including live production, technical services, quality assurance, feed manufacturing, and hatchery operations. Others have chosen to pursue graduate programs focused on poultry nutrition, microbiology, or public health. With a strong job placement rate and an extensive alumni network, Texas A&M Poultry Science continues to serve as a launching pad for undergraduate and graduate students passionate about advancing animal agriculture and food production.

“Our students have taken full advantage of the resources and opportunities available to them, and it shows,” said Audrey McElroy, Ph.D., Department Head. “We’re incredibly proud of their commitment to excellence and excited to see where their paths lead.”
