Instructional Assistant Professor, Non-Tenure (Position ID 185916)
The Department of Poultry Science, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University is accepting applications for a full-time Academic Professional Track (non-tenure) Instructional Assistant Professor position with a 9-month academic appointment of 85% teaching and 15% service.

Key Responsibilities:
This Academic Professional Track (APT) faculty position will contribute to the advancement of our undergraduate and graduate teaching programs. This APT position provides promotion opportunities following university guidelines. Instructional responsibilities include developing and teaching undergraduate courses in the fields associated with the Department’s programs in Poultry Science.
The successful candidate will be expected to prepare and teach no less than two to three poultry Science courses per semester. The incumbent will deliver courses in the undergraduate curriculum, including General Avian Science (Poultry Science 201), Avian Science Laboratory (Poultry Science 302), and Investigation of Professional Development in Poultry Science (Poultry Science 381). Professional and academic service, leadership, and other scholarly activities in teaching are expected.
Qualifications
Required
• A minimum of a Ph.D. in Poultry Science or a closely related field
• Strong knowledge of the subject matter taught in undergraduate poultry science courses
Preferred
• Experience in the field of instructional design
• Prior classroom teaching experience
• Candidates who demonstrate strong teaching capability and a desire to mentor students

Facilities Coordinator I (R-088799)
The Department of Poultry Science at Texas A&M University is seeking a full-time Facilities Coordinator I. This role supports the research, teaching, and extension missions of the Department of Poultry Science through the management of facilities, animals, and farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of employee safety programs and guidelines
• Monitor animal welfare
• Oversee Feed Mill operations, and maintain and control inventory items associated with feed manufacturing
• Maintain and repair equipment and poultry rearing facilities
• Manage inventory and supervise use of on-site workshop
• Communicate the status of center operations with Research Service Fam Manager
• Supervise farm workers and student workers as required
Qualifications:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Poultry Science and/or experience in poultry husbandry and feed mill operation
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
• Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls
