Degrees and Programs

Poultry, including meat and eggs, is one of the largest agricultural commodities in the world. Our academic program focuses on educating our students about poultry science including areas such as meat production, egg production, anatomy & physiology, nutrition, processing, microbiology, animal husbandry, animal welfare and more! Our academic program is one of six poultry specific bachelor’s programs in the United States and has the largest undergraduate enrollment of the remaining programs.

By obtaining a poultry science degree, our graduates have the opportunity to work in all areas of the poultry and allied industries and beyond. Likewise, our program provides academic tracks to professional programs such as veterinary medicine, human medicine, law, nursing, and other career opportunities. Poultry Science Double Major

The double major in Poultry Science is available to all students enrolled at Texas A&M University. The main educational goal of this program is to provide students, with an interest in gaining knowledge of various fields within the poultry and allied industry.
