Major Livestock Shows

The Department of Poultry Sciences takes great pride in actively supporting students with their participation in poultry shows across the state of Texas. Through dedicated initiatives, we aim to nurture and encourage young talents in the field of poultry by providing them with valuable resources and expertise. Our team collaborates with students, offering guidance on poultry selection, nutrition, health, and handling techniques to ensure their birds are well-prepared for the shows. Moreover, we organize workshops and educational sessions to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in poultry competitions. By fostering this commitment to students and their poultry projects, we aim to contribute to the growth of the poultry industry while empowering the next generation of poultry enthusiasts and professionals.
