Most of our work is completed on the Texas A&M University Campus in College Station, Texas, but across the state, Texas A&M AgriLife has faculty located in major agricultural areas in the state that enable our scientists and students to carry out research.

Kleberg Animal and Food Sciences Center
The Kleberg Animal and Food Sciences Center is a five-story building that houses faculty and staff in the Departments of Animal Science, Nutrition, Food Science and Poultry Science. It is equipped with modern laboratories, office spaces, comfortable lecture facilities, classrooms, conference rooms, and student study areas.

Veterinary Research Building
The Veterinary Research Building is one of many in the Veterinary Medical Complex. It is the location of many of the research laboratories in the Veterinary Pathobiology Department, many of which focus on poultry.

Barbara J. Huffman and William M. “Bill” Huffman ’53 Poultry Science Farm Complex
Located just a short drive from Kleberg and conveniently situated on campus, the 16-acre complex houses facilities supporting every stage of poultry, meat, and egg production and processing. The center also includes two dedicated classroom spaces.

USDA Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center
The USDA Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center (“SPARC”) is the home of the Food and Feed Safety Unit which conducts a wide variety of research programs involving poultry. There are numerous joint research projects between the Poultry Science Department and USDA-SPARC. USDA scientists also serve on the Poultry Science Department’s Graduate Faculty and several Poultry Science Department students and post-docs train in USDA-SPARC laboratories.
