Poultry Science Student Organizations
Poultry Science Club
The purpose of this organization is to encourage and promulgate interest in Poultry Science among the students of Texas A&M University and to establish and maintain relations between our organization and members of the poultry industry. The Poultry Science Club participates in the various community service activities, social events, wing-bandings, and hosts a scholarship banquet at the end of the spring semester.Year Founded:
Poultry Science Graduate Student Association
Poultry Science Graduate Student Association is a community of graduate students associated with the Poultry Science department, seeking to enrich both personal and professional development, allowing for the refinement of skills needed to be successful leaders of tomorrow. Our members will work conjointly with students, faculty, staff and professionals in order to achieve a complete and fulfilling experience during their graduate careers at Texas A&M University.
Student Chapter of the American Association of Avian Pathologists
The mission of the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the American Association of Avian Pathologists is to provide opportunities for veterinary students to learn about the many facets of poultry medicine from commercial production to backyard birds. We highly encourage veterinary student involvement in the field of poultry medicine and provide invaluable opportunities for members to gain professional knowledge of the opportunities and challenges that face poultry veterinarians.
Aggie Poultry Ambassadors
Beginning in the spring of 2005, the Poultry Science Department implemented a new undergraduate student program called the Aggie Leadership Council. The purpose of this group is to encourage leadership throughout the student body of the department as well as student representation at recruiting functions and poultry industry events. This group of students helps with the promotion of poultry science while enjoying the activities that are included. In Fall 2021 we felt the time was right for a name change in order to credit their connection to Poultry Science. The group is now called the Aggie Poultry Ambassadors (APA).
Dining and Housing

Attractions
You can experience more than 1,200 events throughout the year across campus, including touring Broadway shows, concerts, and ceremonies. Check out all of the university’s landmarks and exhibits on the University website.
